Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD) is a form of anxiety that may manifest as uncontrollable thoughts or actions, which may be repetitive or ritualized. Obsessive thoughts are disruptive, and often compulsions are performed in order to attempt to get rid of the obsessive thoughts. Unfortunately, it just leads a vicious cycle of OCD.

Psychotherapy can work to reduce the symptoms of Obsessive Compulsive Disorder. You will work to retrain yourself on how you react to obsessive thoughts rather than performing compulsions, and gain control over not using compulsive behavior.
